This week went by so fast. It feels like I just got here yesterday. My companion is Elder Kingston from Quincy California. He has been out for 21 months and is training me. He is an awesome person but because he is from california, he is a crazy driver. He is really dedicated and on top of things and has a awesome testimony.
I have a cool story to tell that happened on thursday. We were looking for investigators to teach and we went to a person named Jimmearea. Her husband, Ben was there with her and he is a big guy. He was probably 6 ft. and 300 lbs. He had gold teeth and looked intimidating but when we started talking to them he seemed really interested in Christ and knows that God is a huge part of his life as well as his family. Then I gave them a bible and Book of Mormon and we shared a lesson about it. They really appreciated it and seem to really love Christ and Heavenly Father. We are going to start doing lessons with them. It was a cool experience. We are going to teach them today again. It is awesome that someone who looks like they have had a rough past can have such a love for Christ and Heavenly Father.
I went shopping and bought only doughnuts because they were cheap for the quantity you get. JK. I bought all good things but durring the week before I got to go shopping, we were living off the generocity of the members and a loaf of bread that was left in the apartment. We drive a nice car (2017 Chevy Malibu) and our bikes because we are in a car share. There are some places that we arent supposed to go in because of the gang violence. All of the ward is really nice and loving. One of my favorite members is Patrick and he loves all the missionaries.
